Pipeline Batch Operator/Contract Full-Time

Aspenleaf Energy Limited (ALE) is a private oil and gas exploration and production company currently seeking a Pipeline Batch Operator to support operations in the Leduc, Alberta area. ALE is focused on light oil development and is led by a team of experienced industry professionals with a strong operational and safety culture.

Job Description:

• Work schedule consists of Monday to Friday rotation (5/2 schedule), with overtime required based on operational needs.
• Reporting directly to the Operations Foreman/Lead, the Pipeline Batch Operator will be responsible for executing batching and pigging activities across the pipeline network while ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
• Work within HSE standards and comply with all ALE rules, guidelines, policies and procedures. Conduct safety walk arounds, participate in formal safety audits, identify and complete hazard ID’s … etc.
• Coordinate batching activities in alignment with operational plans and production priorities
• Perform site visits and communicate with field operators, contractors, and third parties to ensure clear execution of batching operations
• Safely launch, track, and receive batching/pigging tools in accordance with procedures and specifications
• Monitor batching progress, troubleshoot issues, and adjust operations as required
• Inspect tools and equipment, identify deficiencies, and perform minor maintenance/reconditioning as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation including logs, reports, and tracking records
• Support pipeline integrity and operational efficiency through regular pigging/batching activities
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce downtime, and enhance safety performance
• Maintain professional working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Support other field operations activities as required

Qualifications:

Applicants should demonstrate strong operational knowledge and a commitment to safety and team work

• Minimum 3-5+ years of oil and gas field experience, preferably in pipeline, facility, or batching
operations
• Candidate must live within 45 min of Leduc/Devon area, or willing to relocate
• Working knowledge of pipeline systems, pigging/batching procedures, and fluid handling
• Experience with sour operations and H2S environments is considered an asset
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot field equipment
• Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License (non-GDL) with clean driver’s abstract
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team
• Computer based programs and systems (Eg; Microsoft, Word &Excel, Roughneck )
• Issuing work permits and supervising work activities
• Contractor must have valid WCB, Insurance, and current oilfield competency training including:
Solis/CMDS, First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG, EGSO
