is a private oil and gas exploration and production company that is pursuing an acquisition and exploitation strategy in western Canada. The company is focused on light oil and liquids-rich gas opportunities and is led by a team of seasoned industry professionals with extensive acquisition and operations experience.

 

Bryan Gould

KEITH POMEDLI

PRESIDENT & CFO
  • Executive with 18 years of experience in progressively senior roles in upstream energy, as well as various other industries and public and private enterprises
  • Passionate believer in organizational effectiveness and culture as the driving force in successful outcomes
  • Numerous complex business transactions including corporate and asset M&A, debt/equity financing, take-private transaction and a large-scale corporate recapitalization
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting, risk management, corporate governance, treasury, forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning

SENIOR VP EXPLORATION

  • 25 years with Royal Dutch Shell/Shell Canada and over three years with Summerland Energy
  • Increasingly senior roles at Shell, ultimately serving as North American onshore Exploration Manager
  • Junior company experience while COO of Summerland, responsible for all operational activities
  • Recognized leader in onshore environments, experienced in resource plays and conventional oil & gas

DAVID TODD

SENIOR VP OPERATIONS
  • Aspenleaf founder
  • 33 years with Royal Dutch Shell/Shell Canada in upstream oil and gas in Canada and the US
  • Diverse experience ranging from play development, drilling and completions, land, regulatory, and operations
  • Recent positions at Shell included VP Production for all US onshore assets and VP Unconventionals Canada
  • Track record of delivering results, improving performance, and implementing systems and processes

JEFF RUDOLF

SENIOR VP STRATEGY & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
  • 20 years in the energy industry, with 10 of years experience at Aspenleaf Energy as key member of development team
  • 12 years experience working at Senior E&P operators (Husky/Encana/Sinopec Canada) in technical, operational, commercial & leadership roles
  • Solid foundation in Engineering, operations, strategic planning, risk assessment & financial analysis
  • Proven track record of driving innovation, identifying best practices & optimizing project economics

JEREMY JOHNSON

VP OPERATIONS
  • Professional Engineer with 16 years of diverse operations and development experience in increasingly senior roles, formerly with Talisman Energy Inc and NEP Canada ULC before becoming Operation Manager at Aspenleaf
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming. Practicing member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta
  • Demonstrated operational expertise, with a track record of delivering results and improving performance

KAITLIN PEARSON

VP DEVELOPMENT
  • Professional Engineer with 15 years of experience, including positions at Pengrowth and Enerplus
  • Diverse experience including development, production, and reservoir management across a variety of assets in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin
  • Holds BSc. in Chemical Engineering with Distinction from University of Calgary and active member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta

MITCH BABA

VP FINANCE
  • Chartered Accountant with 14 years of experience in financial roles in public practice and both publicly-traded and private junior energy companies
  • Widespread experience in full cycle accounting, taxation, financial reporting and process optimization
  • Experienced in corporate risk management, treasury, forecasting, budgeting and people leadership

RON WEBER

VP WELLS
  • 39 years industry experience working in the Western Canadian Sedimentary basin with Husky Oil, Pengrowth Corporation and Arcan Resources, including the past 9 years with Aspenleaf Energy
  • Over 26 years focused on drilling and completions with a performance record of delivering successful results, improving implementation, and continuously expanding opportunities
  • Experienced in conventional oil & gas assets, EOR, oil sands, and unconventional resource plays

WADE EVANS

VP LAND
  • Over 19 years of industry experienced focused on mineral, surface, A&D land strategy
  • Previous experience includes a diverse background with increasing senior roles of responsibility at NEP Canada ULC, Nexxco Energy, Lightstream Resources, Standard Land and Talisman Energy
  • Bachelor of Management (Economics) from the University of Lethbridge and active member of the Canadian Association of Energy Professionals
